The Conference receives the State of Environment and Conservation in the Pacific Islands: 2025 Regional Report, coordinated by SPREP. The report provides the regional evidence base for assessing environmental and biodiversity trends and informing priorities under the Pacific Islands Framework for Nature Conservation 2026–2030. It provides a regional, indicator-based assessment of the condition and trends of the Pacific environment. It supports evidence-based decisions by Pacific governments, PIRT members, communities, donors and development partners. 

The Pacific Islands Framework for Nature Conservation 2026–2030 provides a shared regional direction for addressing biodiversity loss, climate change and ecosystem degradation across terrestrial, freshwater, coastal and marine environments. Grounded in Pacific cultures, traditional knowledge, customary tenure and community leadership, it promotes coordinated action on protected and conserved areas, the 30×30 target, species recovery, ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions, sustainable financing and environmental governance. Aligned with national biodiversity strategies and the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, it aims to strengthen ecosystem resilience and sustain Pacific livelihoods, food security, cultures and wellbeing.
